It is often the case that before the test the worker is not as protected as they could be and therefore could be exposed to the risk of noise induced hearing loss. The 3M system works by measuring the effectiveness of earmuffs and  earplugs from inside the workers ear, to help identify which HPE is best for them.  Unlike any other solution available, it is designed and able to test each ear simultaneously  to provide accurate, quantitative results. It also devotes time to educate each worker on the importance of fit and compliance.
